Looks like Microsoft won’t be buying Discord after all.

According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, Discord won’t be selling, even though there were multiple offers for the company, including one reportedly from Microsoft.

Sources have told the Wall Street Journal the company is discussing a “potential initial public offering” down the line. But, according to the report, talks with Microsoft could resume in the future.

The WSJ reports that the company “fielded interest from at least three companies about a deal,” but that the service is performing well and that the company plans to remain independent for the foreseeable future.

Back in March, two different reports stated the company was looking to sell, and that it had “an exclusive acquisition discussion” with one company and that the main runner was Microsoft.

Discord is operated by a private company and has over 140 million monthly active users.
