Random: What If The Resident Evil 8 Bosses Were Pokémon’s Elite Four?

Resident Evil Village, the eighth main title in the classic horror-survival series, is an absolute gem. Unfortunately, it’s not currently on Nintendo platforms… but we can imagine that it is, thanks to the excellent artistic work of ΛΛoth, AKA @LatterBug on Twitter.

The pitch of “Resident Evil bosses as Pokémon Gym Leaders” would have been enough for us, but Moth went above and beyond, recreating the original art style of the old Pokémon games and paying attention to the rules of the Elite Four (all one type, fully evolved Pokémon only). We love attention to detail, we do.

Lady Dimitrescu is dragon-type, with Noivern, Salamence, Dragalge, Garchomp, Dragapult, and Hydreigon forming her extremely OP team.

Donna Beneviento is, of course, ghost-type, and quite a few of her Pokémon have a creepy haunted doll vibe to them: Polteageist, Cursola, Mismagius, Banette, Mimikyu, and Froslass.

Poor, neglected Moreau might seem like a water type, since his bit is all about the gross, flooded windmill area, but Moth says he’s “too slimy” for water type. As a result, his team is poison-type, with quite a few slimy-looking beasts: Swalot, Garbodor, Qwilfish, Weezing, Mareanie, and Alolan Muk.

Last but not least is Heisenberg, whose steel-type team dominates in both power and size. Copperajah, Steelix, Klinklang, Metagross, Magnezone, and Aggron make up Heisenberg’s factory-themed party.

Mother Miranda is not featured, but she’s probably a Ditto.

Would we love to see a real-life Resi X Pokémon crossover? Oh, you bet. Is that likely? About as likely as a Bayonetta X Pikmin crossover, we’d estimate.

Which of the Elite Four do you think you’d struggle to beat? We’re not sure we’d get past the first one, to be honest. Let us know in the comments!
