Exhausted what Codemasters originally delivered in DIRT 5? Ticked off everything the additional Energy Content Pack threw in? Today is your lucky day as not only do DIRT 5 players get access to some new premium DLC, but a free update ensures that a host of options open themselves up.
Available right now and rolling out to your DIRT 5 game on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and PC are both the Uproar Content Pack and Update 4.0, and that means we get access to new content in the form of additional cars, more career events, a couple of further sponsors, liveries, lanyards, stickers and themed items for your personal arenas. Oh, and for those in search of private lobbies, Codies have your back.
We’ll take the free stuff first and Update 4.00 for DIRT 5 is chock full of goodies. Those private lobbies that we spoke off are now accessible in the Online section of the game, letting you pick and choose how you and your mates want to race. There’s also a new dedicated section that will let you view profile stats and a Verified Creator tag attached to the very best Playground modders.
Update 4.00 is free to all players right now and also happily provides additional themed items for the After Dark Playground. This sees 20+ items dropped into play, letting you mess around with new colours, fireworks, checkpoints, jumps, loops and more. You’ll find all that in the Create mode. It also adds night time options for both Italy and Arizona, along with some classic official liveries for the BMW M1 Procar, SUBARU WRX STI RX Supercar, SUBARU Impreza S4 Rally, and MITSUBISHI LANCER EVOLUTION VI. We don’t need to tell you what these liveries are – you can probably guess from the cars themselves.
Free is always good but that’s not the only new addition to DIRT 5 for the premium DLC pack of the Uproar Content Pack is also here. This will set you back £9.99 or is included in both the DIRT 5 Year One Edition or with the DIRT 5 Year One Upgrade purchases, adding in four new eye-catching cars. Purchasing this pack will add the Duke Coupe to the Rally GT Class, while the Zenden Cup builds out the RallyCross options. Further to that is the Jackson Adventurer in the Unlimited Class, and the Jackson Eulogy in the Classic Rally Class.
These four cars will be the main focus points of the 25 additional Career events that have also been added, taking you from New York to Italy to South Africa and more. And it’s the sponsors who are paying you to travel the globe too – PUMA and Offroad Xtreme are both now in play.
It goes without saying that to make the most of the DIRT 5 Uproar Content Pack or the Update 4.00, you’ll need a copy of the base DIRT 5 game on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 or PC. With it currently doing the Xbox Game Pass rounds, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be hitting the track. Let us know in the comments if the new content is one that will drag you back to DIRT 5.
