News comes after Osaka lifts COVID-19 state of emergency
Universal Orlando’s Super Nintendo World might not be arriving until 2025, it looks like Universal Studios Japan’s park has quickly gotten back on track.
After a delayed opening due to COVID-19, Osaka’s state of emergency was recently lifted. Though the pandemic is still ongoing, Nintendo has revealed a new opening date of March 18th via Twitter.
Universal has separately confirmed it will be implementing additional safety measures for this opening period. That includes limited admission with a numbered ticket system, alongside a mandatory face mask policy.
For most of us, it’ll be a long wait before we can visit Super Nintendo World. If you can’t wait to see what’s instore, numerous POV videos have already gone online, including one for the Mario Kart ride. If that’s not your speed, there’s always a Minecraft recreation, too.
