Nintendo has announced on its official website that support for the popular video streaming app, Netflix, will end on 30th June this year for both the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U platforms. The Netflix application became unavailable to download from 31st December, but for those who already have the app installed will be able to enjoy it for a little while longer. If you’ve downloaded it previously but deleted it, Nintendo is allowing users in this situation to re-download the Netflix app if they wish.
Starting Dec 31st, 2020, the Netflix app will no longer be available for new users to download from Nintendo eShop on the Wii U console or Nintendo 3DS family of systems. During that time, it will be possible for existing users to re-download these applications. Service for existing users will continue until June 30th, 2021.
