Microsoft has reassured Final Fantasy fans that more games in the franchise are coming to Xbox Game Pass.
Speaking with TrueAchievements, a Microsoft spokesperson confirmed that missing Final Fantasy titles announced at X019 are still heading to the Xbox Game Pass service.
“As we announced at X019, we are excited to bring the Final Fantasy franchise to gamers with Xbox Game Pass,” the spokesperson told TrueAchievements. “We have done so throughout 2020 and will continue to do so in 2021 and beyond. We look forward to announcing specific launch dates for more Final Fantasy titles in the future.”
X019 took place back in November 2019, and Microsoft said at the time 10 Final Fantasy titles were coming to the service. At present, only five of the titles have graced Xbox Game Pass: Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 8 Remastered, Final Fantasy 9, and Final Fantasy 15, plus Final Fantasy 15 Multiplayer: Comrades.
That leaves Final Fantasy 10: HD Remastered, Final Fantasy 10-2: HD Remastered, Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age, Final Fantasy 13, Final Fantasy 13-2, and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 to be added.
Hopefully, some or all of the titles will be added sooner rather than later.
